Eat Well: #abcsofyyc #cassisbistro

ABC's of YYC (Week 3: C)

Cassis Bistro
2505 17 Ave SW
Journey of Wellness Calgary restaurants

Located right off of Crowchild Tr. and 17th Ave in the Casel Building, lies a quaint little French bistro.

Once you enter, you are greeted by French speaking waiters.  The decor and the room were brightly lit and also on one wall, they played an old time black and white film.

Deep Sea Scallop & Lobster - fennel, cucumber tagliatelle & citrus

This delightful dish was full of citrus kicks with beautifully cooked seafood.  I usually order my dressing on the side because I feel it's usually too much, but this time was perfect.  The dressing didn't overwhelm but rather complemented the dish.  Absolutely loved this; so refreshing.

Sablefish en Papillote (Daily Fish)- slices of sablefish fillet, beets, potatoes, a lemon butter sauce and John does not remember the rest

Right when you open the lovely package, you are greeted with a wonderful aroma.  The fish was cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavour.  Beets, potatoes and everything else can only be described as amazing.  The sauce was a bit overwhelming for John's taste, but in small doses, it added a new level of flavour to the dish.

Overall, we were both quite impressed by the quality of food and service at Cassis Bistro and we are definitely coming back for dinner!  So look forward to that review!

Enjoy!
